This program focuses on empowering children with disabilities and mental challenges through customized rehabilitation and therapy services. The goal is to help each child gain independence and actively participate in daily life, education, and play. Contribute your expertise in areas like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or special education.

Opportunities for professionals to engage based on their experience in nursing, lab work, or managing menstrual hygiene for girls with special needs.

Accomodation

Our project in Ruai offers comfortable and secure accommodation. You'll stay in a shared house or guest accommodation within a close-knit community, providing a warm and welcoming environment. The living spaces are well-maintained, with essential amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. You'll be conveniently located near shopping malls, banks, and other urban conveniences, making it easy to balance work with relaxation. Whether you’re unwinding after a fulfilling day or preparing for the next, your accommodation is designed to offer a supportive home base.

Project Location

Nestled in Ruai, just outside Nairobi, this project combines the tranquility of a suburban setting with convenient access to essential amenities. Located only 15 minutes and 10 kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the area offers a peaceful environment ideal for working with children with special needs while still being close to shopping malls, banks, and other urban conveniences. This location provides the best of both worlds—allowing you to focus on meaningful work in a serene atmosphere, with the comfort of modern facilities just a short distance away.

Arrival & Airport pickup

After you have booked and confirmed your placement, please arrange your flights to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. Our team will be there to welcome you and organize a convenient pickup service. Located just 15 minutes from the airport, your project site in Ruai is a short and comfortable drive away, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to your journey. We'll handle all the logistics, so you can settle in with ease.

Weekends and free time

After your volunteer hours, explore Nairobi’s unique blend of urban and natural wonders. Visit Nairobi National Park, indulge in local street food, or take a day trip to Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate. For a deeper adventure, plan a safari to the Maasai Mara or visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Our team is here to help you make the most of your free time—Nairobi’s adventures await!
